With 14 days in Seychelles you can see the three main islands at an unhurried pace and still finish with something different: a few nights on a smaller island, a resort stay or an outer-island add-on. Two weeks is long enough to balance active days — hiking, boat trips, cycling — with genuine rest.
The framework below uses four bases: Mahé, Praslin, La Digue and a final island stay. Transfers to the smaller islands are arranged differently from the public ferries, so check what your chosen property includes before you fix the dates.
Who 14 days in Seychelles suits
- Travellers who want the full inner-island experience.
- Honeymooners and couples planning a restful finish.
- Repeat visitors adding a new island to familiar ones.
The route
- Days 1–4: Mahé — four nights.
- Days 5–8: Praslin — four nights.
- Days 9–11: La Digue — three nights.
- Days 12–14: a smaller island or resort — three nights, returning to Mahé for the flight home.
Days 1–4: Mahé

Split your time between the north and south of the island, or choose one base and explore by car. See Mahé.
- Victoria and the botanical garden.
- A hike in Morne Seychellois National Park and the coastal walk to Anse Major.
- A day in the Ste Anne Marine Park.
- The beaches of South Mahé and the west coast around Port Launay.
Days 5–8: Praslin

- The Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio.
- A boat day to Curieuse and St Pierre.
- A guided walk at Fond Ferdinand.
- Slow days at Côte d’Or or on the west coast.
Days 9–11: La Digue
Cycle the island, visit Anse Source d’Argent early, walk the east-coast beaches and climb to Nid d’Aigle. See La Digue Island.
Days 12–14: a smaller island

Choose one of these depending on budget and interests:
- Silhouette Island — a mountainous, forested island north-west of Mahé, reached by boat.
- Félicité Island — a small private-island resort near La Digue.
- Denis or Bird Island — coral islands to the north, reached by light aircraft.
- An outer island such as Desroches or Alphonse, for fishing, diving and remoteness.
- Or simply a final resort stay on Mahé, close to the airport.
Return to Mahé the evening before your international flight if the transfer schedule does not allow a same-day connection.

Getting the most from 14 days in Seychelles
Two weeks gives you the luxury of slowing down. Instead of filling every day, plan one anchor activity per day — a hike, a boat trip, a visit to the Vallée de Mai — and leave the rest for the beach, a long lunch or a cycle ride. Build in at least one unplanned day on each island for weather.
With 14 days in Seychelles it is also worth thinking about the seasons. The trade winds change which coasts are sheltered, so choose bases that suit your travel month, and consider flying the Mahé–Praslin leg if you travel during the windier south-east trade season. See Travel Planning for the details.
