Port Launay Marine National Park on the west coast of Mahé

West Mahé

The west coast from Port Glaud to Anse Boileau, including the Port Launay marine park.

The west coast of Mahé runs from Port Glaud and Port Launay in the north-west, past Grand Anse, down to Anse Boileau and Anse à la Mouche. The Port Launay and Baie Ternay Marine National Parks protect the bays at its northern end.

It is quieter than the north-west around Beau Vallon, with places to stay spread out along the coast road, so a hire car or arranged transfers make a stay here easier.
