Many of the best experiences in Seychelles involve the sea, and some of them — reaching offshore islands, snorkelling in marine parks, visiting protected reserves — are easiest with a licensed operator. The guides below explain each kind of trip, where it happens and what to check before you book.

How to choose Seychelles tours

Seychelles tours by boat: boats moored off Curieuse Island
Boat days to Curieuse are among the most popular Seychelles tours. Image: Curieuse Island asv2024-10 img29.jpg by A.Savin, FAL, via Wikimedia Commons.

The best Seychelles tours add something you cannot easily do alone: reaching a protected island, snorkelling in a marine park with a licensed boat, walking a trail with a guide who knows the plants and birds, or seeing a whole island in a day without driving. Before booking, check what is included — park fees, lunch, equipment and transfers vary — and whether the trip depends on sea conditions.

Every tour listed on this site has its own guide page describing the experience independently, with the operator’s details and booking link on that page. For official visitor information, see seychelles.travel.

Choosing an operator

Choose licensed operators who brief you on safety and on marine-park and reserve rules, and who keep group sizes sensible. Sea conditions change with the trade winds, so build some flexibility into your plans for boat-based trips.
