NIVA Labriz Seychelles is a villa resort on Silhouette, the mountainous, largely protected island that lies off Mahé’s north-west coast. Formerly known as Hilton Seychelles Labriz, it is one of very few places to stay on the island, with villas spread along the beach and into the gardens behind it.
Best for
Couples and honeymooners who want an island-resort stay with Silhouette’s national park around them; families who need a two-bedroom villa; walkers interested in the island’s forest trails; travellers who want a full-service resort without flying to the outer islands.
It suits travellers less well if they want to move around freely, eat at independent restaurants or combine the stay with daily sightseeing on Mahé, since every trip off the island needs a boat or helicopter.
Location
The listed coordinates place the resort on Silhouette’s east coast, about 2 km in a straight line from the island centre point used in our guides and roughly 25 km in a straight line from Beau Vallon on Mahé. Most of Silhouette is national park, with steep forested mountains rising straight from the shore.
Rooms and style at NIVA Labriz Seychelles
Accommodation is all in villas. The listing shows garden villas, beach villas, beach villas with a garden plunge pool, garden-oasis, jungle-sanctuary and beach-sanctuary pool villas, two-bedroom beach and family pool villas, and a two-bedroom retreat. The main choices are beach versus garden setting and whether a private pool matters to you.
Facilities at NIVA Labriz Seychelles
The listing shows two swimming pools, six restaurants, a bar, a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, a private beach area and an airport shuttle. For an island with so few facilities of its own, the resort is effectively self-contained.
Trade-offs and what to know
Isolation is the point, but it has practical consequences: transfers have to be arranged in advance, and meals and activities are largely limited to what the resort offers. Weather and sea conditions can affect boat transfers. The rebrand from Hilton means older reviews and maps may still use the previous name.
Getting there and getting around
Silhouette is reached by boat or helicopter from Mahé, arranged in advance; the resort lists an airport shuttle, so ask how the full transfer from Seychelles International Airport works. There are no public roads to explore by car on the island, so getting around means walking trails or resort-organised activities.
