Good Seychelles itineraries are built around transfers. Every move between islands costs part of a day, so the question is not how many islands you can fit in, but how few moves you need to make.
Itinerary principles
Fewer, longer staysTwo or three islands done properly usually beat four done in a hurry.Start or end on MahéAll international flights use Mahé, so plan your first or last nights there.Pair Praslin and La DigueThey are close together and easy to combine, with La Digue as a base or a day trip.
Example frameworks
How trips are commonly structured
- About a week
- Mahé, then Praslin, with La Digue as a day trip from Praslin
- Ten days or so
- Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, each with an overnight stay
- Two weeks or more
- The three main islands plus a dedicated stay on one of the smaller inner islands or in the Outer Islands
Use the island hopping guide to plan the connections between each stay.
