Aldabra Atoll is one of the largest raised coral atolls in the world and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. It supports a very large population of Aldabra giant tortoises and is managed by the Seychelles Islands Foundation.
Aldabra is remote and tightly controlled for conservation. It is not a conventional holiday destination, and this guide does not list accommodation there.
How to visit
Aldabra Atoll is covered in this guide as a place to visit rather than a place to stay. See the Outer Islands guide for nearby bases and the island hopping guide for getting around.
