Anse Source d’Argent is a series of small coves on La Digue’s west coast, framed by large, weathered granite boulders. It is reached through L’Union Estate, a former plantation that also includes a vanilla plantation, a copra mill and a tortoise enclosure.

The water is shallow and calm in many conditions, and the beach is popular, so arriving early gives a quieter experience. Check current estate entry arrangements locally.

How to visit

Anse Source d’Argent & L’Union Estate is covered in this guide as a place to visit rather than a place to stay. See the La Digue guide for nearby bases and the island hopping guide for getting around.
