The south of Mahé is quieter and greener than the north, with a series of bays and coves along the coast road, including Anse Intendance, Takamaka and Baie Lazare. Accommodation ranges from small guesthouses to large resorts set within their own bays.
It suits travellers who prefer a secluded base and are happy to drive or arrange transfers for meals and excursions.
