Bel Air Hotel is a hotel on Mahé, in the Victoria and Eden Island area. The listing highlights restaurant, bar and room service. It lists 2 room types.
Best for
A good fit for visitors who want the capital, its market and the ferry quay close by. It is a less natural fit for some trips: neither a pool nor beachfront access is among the listed facilities.
Location
The listing gives the address as Bel Air Road, Pier Ward, Victoria. By its map pin, it is under 1 km in a straight line from Victoria and about 9.7 km in a straight line from Seychelles International Airport.
Staying in or around Victoria puts you close to the capital’s market, shops and the inter-island ferry, rather than on a resort beach. The surrounding hillsides and Eden Island are mainly residential.
Rooms and style at Bel Air Hotel
The rooms listed are Twin Room and Double Room. With only a few categories to choose from, it is worth asking which unit faces which way.
Facilities at Bel Air Hotel
On the listing, the headline facilities are restaurant, bar, room service, breakfast, free WiFi, free parking, non-smoking rooms and tea/coffee maker in all rooms. In practice, meals or drinks are available on site, parking is listed, which helps if you hire a car and breakfast is mentioned on the listing; check whether your rate includes it.
Trade-offs and what to know
Victoria and its hills are practical rather than scenic, and the nearest good beaches need a short drive. Sea and weather conditions vary with the south-east and north-west monsoons, so ask the property what to expect on your dates.
Getting there and getting around
International flights arrive at Seychelles International Airport on the east coast of Mahé. Mahé has a bus network, but a hire car or taxis are the easier way to reach beaches and viewpoints.
