Location
The listing gives the address as Marie-Jeanne Estate, Anse Possession. By its map pin, it is about 7.5 km in a straight line from Praslin Island Airport.
The Baie Ste Anne side of Praslin centres on the ferry jetty and the village around it, with quieter coves further along the south-east coast.
Rooms and style at Maison Marie-Jeanne
The listing shows Apartment, Two-Bedroom Apartment and Budget Double Room. With only a few categories to choose from, it is worth asking which unit faces which way. For self-catering, confirm the kitchen equipment and where the nearest shop is.
Facilities at Maison Marie-Jeanne
Facilities shown on the listing include outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi, free parking and non-smoking rooms. In practice, there is a pool when the sea is rough and parking is listed, which helps if you hire a car.
Trade-offs and what to know
Praslin’s best-known beaches are spread around the island, so expect to use buses, taxis or a hire car. Self-catering means shopping for groceries, which in Seychelles can be limited outside the larger villages. Sea and weather conditions vary with the south-east and north-west monsoons, so ask the property what to expect on your dates.
Getting there and getting around
Praslin is reached from Mahé by domestic flight to Praslin Island Airport or by ferry to Baie Ste Anne. On the island, buses, taxis and hire cars are the options.
