Best for
Best suited to independent travellers and families who prefer to self-cater. It is a less natural fit for some trips: neither a pool nor beachfront access is among the listed facilities.
Location
The listing gives the address as Coral Strand Road, Beau Vallon. By its map pin, it is about 12 km in a straight line from Seychelles International Airport and about 2.7 km from Victoria.
This is the part of Mahé where most visitors who want a beach and a choice of places to eat end up. Beau Vallon bay is the focus, while Bel Ombre, Glacis and the northern tip are quieter and more residential.
Rooms and style at Flower Garden Self-Catering Apartments
Room types on the listing are Apartment with Mountain View. With a single category, what matters most is the unit’s position and outlook, so ask about them. As a self-catering place, check what the kitchen or kitchenette includes.
Facilities at Flower Garden Self-Catering Apartments
On the listing, the headline facilities are free WiFi, free parking and non-smoking rooms. In practice, parking is listed, which helps if you hire a car.
Trade-offs and what to know
Beau Vallon can be busy by day, and sea conditions on the north-west coast change with the monsoon seasons. Self-catering means shopping for groceries, which in Seychelles can be limited outside the larger villages. Seychelles has two broad monsoon seasons, and wind and sea conditions on any given beach change with them.
Getting there and getting around
International flights arrive at Seychelles International Airport on the east coast of Mahé. Mahé has a bus network, but a hire car or taxis are the easier way to reach beaches and viewpoints.
