Cavern Apartments is an apartment on Praslin, in the Baie Ste Anne area. Facilities on the listing include family rooms, free WiFi and free parking. It lists 2 room types.
Best for
A good fit for independent travellers and families who prefer to self-cater and island hoppers using the Baie Ste Anne ferry jetty. It is a less natural fit for some trips: neither a pool nor beachfront access is among the listed facilities.
Location
The listing gives the address as Baie St. Anne, Baie Sainte Anne. By its map pin, it is about 8.6 km in a straight line from Praslin Island Airport.
Baie Ste Anne, on Praslin’s south-east coast, is where the ferries from Mahé and La Digue arrive. Beyond the jetty and village the coast continues to quieter bays such as Anse La Blague and Anse Marie-Louise.
Rooms and style at Cavern Apartments
Room types on the listing are Apartment with Mountain View and Apartment with Balcony. With only a few categories to choose from, it is worth asking which unit faces which way. As a self-catering place, check what the kitchen or kitchenette includes.
Facilities at Cavern Apartments
The listing’s main facilities are family rooms, free WiFi, free parking and non-smoking rooms. In practice, parking is listed, which helps if you hire a car.
Trade-offs and what to know
Praslin’s best-known beaches are spread around the island, so expect to use buses, taxis or a hire car. Self-catering means shopping for groceries, which in Seychelles can be limited outside the larger villages. Seychelles has two broad monsoon seasons, and wind and sea conditions on any given beach change with them.
Getting there and getting around
Praslin is reached from Mahé by domestic flight to Praslin Island Airport or by ferry to Baie Ste Anne. On the island, buses, taxis and hire cars are the options.
